By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of our services.

4. Rules of Use and Prohibitions
Users of GovernLex agree NOT to engage in the following activities:
- Reverse engineering any AI-driven compliance tools or proprietary algorithms.
- Using the platform to generate legal documents for illegal business activities.
- Attempting to bypass security measures or access data not intended for the user.
- Automated scraping of the "Global Jurisdictional Directory" or "AI Law Tracker" without express written consent.
- Misrepresenting the output of GovernLex as final, binding legal advice from a licensed attorney.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, including but not limited to the "Evolution of AI Regulation" database, "Risk Classification" models, and "Governance Digest" case studies, are the exclusive property of GovernLex or its licensors.
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and download materials for internal business compliance purposes only. Any redistribution or commercial exploitation of the content is strictly prohibited.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW IN THE PROVINCE OF MANITOBA AND THE FEDERAL LAWS OF CANADA, GOVERNLEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES; (II) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICES; OR (III) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the **Province of Manitoba** and the federal laws of **Canada** applicable therein. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including the validity, invalidity, breach, or termination thereof, shall be adjudicated by the courts of the City of **Winnipeg**.
8. Modification of Terms
GovernLex reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this site and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
